Olhe-Se
Ilana creates watercolor dance animations. Here she explores the female movements of carioca funk. In times of isolation, working on the Internet became an adaptation of the process of the artist who, until then, created animations from his own filmed sequences. Olhe-se (Look at Yourself) is named after a song by Karol Conka, one of Rio funk singers who tackles feminism as a subject.
Composed of 101 watercolors on A4 Canson 180g paper.
