This edition is marked by the exceptional situation in which we live. Artists in animated dance seek in their works to redefine our place, as living beings, in the digital world. Questions already ubiquitous since the advent of NTIC become very real in 2020: Simon Burrill questions our raw physicality, Céleste Vidal our relationship to the other - to the body of the other - through distance, Martino Prendini questions our body as a crossing of information. Finally fusion, experienced by Alva Morgenstern and Didier Mulleras, pioneer of dance in the internet era in the 1990s. The works are for the most part experimental this year, and all accompanied by a sound universe that invites you to open our perception of this other, new world that is opening up to us.
The animated dance questions but also suspends time to better transcend it: the nugget of animated dance will be brought to Still Life, created during confinement, and thanks to confinement. Because lively dance takes time, it is an art of fine observation of gesture and its re-writing. A time that tends to slip away from under our feet in the frenzy of everything connected that we have to face.
