Working in the field of research/ creation in Arts & Digital technologies since 2014, Hangars Numériques has set itself the mission to provide support, emergence and visibility to contemporary hybrid and digital artistic creations overseas, while exploring creation and international research in the fields of Living and its relations with technologies, Bioart and environmental humanities.

​

Particularly invested in the study of the passages of dancing bodies in the digital age and in the creation in "Animated Dance", Hangars Numériques conducts in his heart extensive research and artistic productions in the field of dance and digital technologies. Under the artistic direction of the structure, these activities encompass a wide range of innovative projects, highlighting the intersections between dance, technology and contemporary art expression.

If at Hangars Numériques we have always evolved in an eco-logical environment, we are keen on a gesture archelogy and we do not escape from contemporary reflections on our links with nature but also with our ultramarine creole identity: to revisit, re-imagine, to allow oneself. We are facing an elliptical hybridization, where the past of our archives may well contain solutions for a desirable future. In addition, the principles of transhumanism underlie our projects, opening up new avenues for reflection and innovation while keeping humanity at the heart of our concerns.

After a long phase of study and structuring, then the development in priority of our places of practice and artistic training in Saint-Denis, we develop, parallel to our programming, our new exhibition space and residence in natural environment, with an integrated ecological replanting project. We are very excited to finally be able to welcome audiences and artists in a space that looks like us, at the hybrid crossroads of plant and digital art.​

This year will be rich in productions, notably with the reception of the conceptual artist Olga Kisseleva. Pioneer of digital arts and founder of the Arts et Sciences Laboratory at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, we work together to realize "Dancing Data Réunion", as part of its concept E.D.E.N (Ethical Sustainable Ecology Nature). In 2024, we will also celebrate the 7th edition of the International Festival of Animated Dance, a showcase of the genre that will be expressed, we hope, at the heart of our future exhibition venue. A season punctuated by surprises accompanied, as always, by concerts, notably in the context of the Creole week.
