BIOGRAPHY

​

Maya Orchin has shown her work at Festival Quartier Danses (Montreal, Canada), The Olga Sawicka International Dance Festival (Ladek Zdroj, Poland), The Moscow Theater Art School (Moscow, Russia), Dance Italia (Lucca, Italy), Dock 11 (Berlin, Germany), and all over the United States.  She has had artistic residencies at PAF (France) and SPAM (Italy). Maya was a choreographer and performer in the live podcast tour of 'Israel Story' that toured all over the US and Israel. In New York her work has been shown at the 92nd St Y, Judson Church, Center for Performance Research, The New Dance Alliance Festival, The Williamsburg Art and Historical Society, The Dumbo Dance Festival, Art Helix and more._cc781905-5cde-3194 -bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ As a performer she has worked with artists such as Luis Lara Malvacias, Okwui Okpokwasili, Bill T Jones, Christine Bonansea, Davis Freeman, Zoe Scofield, Madeline Hollander, Reut Shemesh, Lynn Neuman, Jody Oberfelder and more. She performed in 'Room 29' on a European tour with musicians Jarvis Cocker and Chilly Gonzales that was performed at Kampnagel (Hamburg, Germany), The Barbican (London, England), The Volksbuhne (Berlin, Germany), The Philharmonie (Paris, France) The Gaite Lyrique (Paris, France), and The Kings Theater (Edinburgh, Scotland). Maya has assisted on  choreographic projects with MOMAPS1 and NIKE.

Simon's body of work encompasses bold, distinctive films, moving image works, and TV commercials. Across all mediums he brings together performance, inventive visuals and a cinematic imagination.
